OUR MISSION

We achieve the mission in several ways. We support educators of color through advocacy, recruitment, retention, and mentoring. We support students and their families regardless of race, but with special emphasis on students of color and their parents, by providing advice, support, and resources. And we champion literacy primarily by hosting an ever-growing annual Literacy Festival. The FREE event is open to all. It provides literacy activities, showcases literacy role models, and gives free books to all in attendance regardless of age, grade, or reading level.
